Unified Development Code / Zoning Ordinance

The purpose of Unified Development Code (UDC) / Zoning Ordinance is to promote the comfort, health, safety, morals, prosperity, aesthetics and general welfare of the people of the City of Onalaska, Wisconsin. The regulations established as part of the ordinance are meant to provide regulations to implement the goals, objectives, policies and recommendations of the City of Onalaska - 2015 Comprehensive Plan. The Onalaska Plan Commission led a two-year project to fully rewrite and update the Unified Development Code (UDC) / Zoning Ordinance which was adopted on February 11, 2020. Below find links to the Unified Development Code (UDC) / Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map.
